I am not a person to ask for help. I take great pride in working for what I have and never asking for handouts (except when I was young Aunt Cindy!! 😉 )
I am writing this as a sincere thank you to those of you who have done something special, bought a T-shirt, donated money, sent cards, crafts, food, balloons and the many other gifts and thoughtful reminders that you are thinking about us and most especially Danielle.
Today I received an amazing gift from the Management at Rock Creek Landing Apartments and I am overwhelmed with it and their sincere thoughts, prayers and genuine positive energy. They have lifted me up during a VERY hard time this week and if you ladies and gents there are reading this…Thank You! I have loved my apartment home for the year + I have been there and the kids have been very happy as well. I cannot thank you enough.
Once we get Danielle healthy and back to her smart, carefree, happy self, we are going to work on paying it forward. This experience has changed all of us forever and for the best.
We are stronger and more humble and already are learning to live each day by the hour…sometimes minute.
We hug one another tighter. We say goodbye with more meaning now than ever.
I appreciate the people around me more and try to be a better person and mother.
I’m rambling, but I wanted to put a sincere and heartfelt thank you out there to all of you and I cannot say enough to express how much it all means to me and my family.
Thank You.
Sunday Day 3 (Round 2)
Today has been tough for Danielle.  She’s experiencing mood swings, nausea and has withdrawn within herself for the better part of the day.  She broke out in an itchy rash and was given some Benadryl, so at least she’s resting peacefully for now.  It breaks my heart to see my usually sweet and happy girl-not quite herself. 😥
We Will Win!
Danielle’s last bone marrow and spinal biopsies came back with no visible cancer cells! Â She is bound and determined to kick cancers butt!
She will continue three more courses of 30 day treatments each followed up with another bone marrow and spinal test to watch for any return of those creepy leukemia cells… If all goes well we can start looking at bringing her home before winter!
This is Danielle when she heard she is kicking the creepers butts!!
